MannKind Values

At MannKind Corporation, these are the values through which we achieve our objectives:

Mann Legacy

We will strive to keep alive the legacy of our founder, Al Mann, who has devoted his life to filling unmet and poorly met medical needs. In so doing we will use our proprietary technologies and breakthrough discoveries to cure diseases and improve disease management. We will work with the FDA and other agencies to accelerate the product approval process, especially for terminal diseases. We will create value for our patients, our customers, our shareholders, and our employees. In all that we do, we will be guided by the MannKind Values.

Teamwork

Teamwork is a fundamental value at MannKind. The vision of MannKind is achieved only through the efforts of individuals working together as a team. Each employee's responsibility is linked to the responsibilities of others. To succeed, we must share our knowledge and skills with those of our co-workers, just as we depend on their knowledge and skills to help us carry out our responsibilities and reach the best decisions. Our teams will collaborate to transition our discoveries and proprietary technologies from the lab through the clinic to the marketplace quickly.

Accountability

Each one of us is accountable for the activities for which we are responsible. In fulfilling these responsibilities, we will often call on the support of a team. The team, however, is a resource for fulfilling responsibilities, not a substitute for accountability. Decisions will be based on what is best for MannKind before considering what is best for any individual, function, team, or worksite. Input from key stakeholders will be sought. Once a decision is made, the leader will be accountable for the results and for implementing the decision.

Quality

Quality is a never-ending quest encompassing everything we do. Our commitment to excellence will be the key to the company's long-term success. Our products, our services, and our people must always be of the highest quality.

Communication

Communication is the link that will keep us together. Because we perform as a team, it is essential that we communicate with each other mutually, honestly, openly, and constantly. We value a work environment that promotes and encourages communication. Staying informed and keeping others informed will be our job regardless if the news is good or bad. We will communicate the rationale for our decisions openly and in a timely manner.

Integrity

As an organization and as individuals we believe in meeting our responsibilities with the highest possible standards of business ethics and personal integrity.

Enthusiasm

We have high expectations for each individual and for the organization as a whole. Enthusiasm for the challenges we face is an important element of meeting these expectations.
